Leading the management of the school

  • Uses a range of data management methods and technologies to ensure that the school’s resources and staff are efficiently organised and managed to provide an effective and safe learning environment as well as value for money. 

  • Ensures appropriate delegation of tasks to members of the staff and the monitoring of accountabilities and ensuring these accountabilities are met.

  • Seeks to build a successful school through effective collaboration with school boards, governing bodies, parents and others.

Toogoolawa Building Project
(AITSL Standards 7.2, 7.3, 7.4)

Managed an eight million dollar capital works project to upgrade learning and wellbeing infrastructure across multiple campuses. Worked closely with architects, contractors and stakeholders to deliver flexible learning spaces, wellbeing hubs and enhanced staff facilities aligned with strategic goals.

Hillcrest Online Campus
(AITSL Standards 3.2, 3.6, 4.1, 7.2)

Oversee the establishment of Hillcrest's online school, to begin in 2021. This involes leading the planning and implementation process, as well as ensuring all legal and budgetary requirements are furfilled. The program will include an online school for gifted and talented students, we well as an online school for international students.

IT 5-Year Strategic Plan​
(AITSL Standards 2.6, 3.4, 4.5, 7.2)

I am responsible for the effective leadership, coaching and development of the Learning Technologies team and IT team and have led the formulation of a 5-year IT strategic plan, considering the whole ICT ecosystem including infrastructure needs of current requirements and upcoming building works, whilst reviewing and upading policies and strategies to ensure the safe, responsible and ethical use of ICT to support innovative learning and teaching.

Director of Volleyball​
(AITSL Standards 3.7, 7.1, 7.3)

In charge of the operations and budeting of the Volleyabll program, which consisted of 9 teams, 12 staff, and 102 students. I worked with the parent community to formulate a formal P&F group in 2018, raising a significate amount of funds to encourage coaches and students to develop their skills through subsidised coaching and umpiring courses, with the view of hiring ex-students as assistant coaches.

Learning @ Home COVID-19 Program​
(AITSL Standards 2.6, 3.4, 3.7, 7.1)

Leading colleagues across the school community during COVID-19 to select and use ICT with effective teaching strategies to expand learning opportunities and content knowledge for all students. This includes our learning systems, learning and teaching processes & policies, as well as training and communicating with staff, students and families.

ICT Review - Senior Campus
(AITSL Standards 2.6, 3.4, 3.6)

Conducted a systematic review of ICT usage across the senior campus at Newington College using different research methods. The results were compared against research data from similar schools across K-12 globally. Results were used to form the basis of professional learning for students and staff, and provided a baseline for infrastructure improvements

iPad Rollout Committee​
(AITSL Standards 2.6, 3.4, 4.5, 7.2)

In 2014, I chaired the Middle School iPad rollout committee at Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School. This inlcuded working with teachers acorss both middle school campuses to formulate consistent processes and policies, as well as  leading colleagues in selecting, creating and evaluating resources, including software for learning and teaching. I have since led a Years 4 - 12 one-to-one laptop rollout at Hillcrest Christian College, as well as a Years 7 & 8 iPad program at Newington College.
